Kalkan is a coastal town, having been an active fishing town, and then one of Turkey’s busiest harbour towns all the way until the 70s. Kalkan has since moved away from it’s fishing roots, which although still remain to an extent, are far from the town’s main source of income. Instead, Kalkan’s beauty has been allowed to be portrayed internationally, with the pure white beaches blending into the clear blue sea bringing people from across the world to visit. With white-washed houses and villas filling the town, where over three quarters of the year we see sunshine, Kalkan is an immensely beautiful place to live.

With our villa in Kalkan, you can witness that for yourself. Kalkan is also home to beautiful scenery, the landscape filled with great plantation; the bougainvillea plant is home to Kalkan specifically. The town in fact in 2007 was honourably mentioned among the top places for a holiday destination, by the Telegraph newspaper.
